However, we ended up eating inside with a close-up view of the kitchen and were blown away by the menu. The ingredients are very special and locally sourced and the staff was amazing. We loved every single morsel we ordered (be sure to order several of the “snacks”) and we finished our meal on the terrace with a cheese plate and port wine! We loved it so much we returned for a second night. The vibe is airy greenhouse-chic and the menu features modern farm-to-table local and in-season ingredients. There are many vegetarian friendly dishes although they also serve meat. The butternut squash dish and the mushroom ice-cream are both amazing! We had such a wonderful time that we wanted to go back but they didn’t have any more available reservations on the days we were there. Although, it has much less space available compared to A.P.F. Restaurant. We enjoyed the meal here but definitely felt a little bit less relaxed and leisurely just due to the smaller space. On the plus side, if you are walking, this is at the bottom of the hill and A.P.F. requires a little bit of a walk up! When I booked, I was able to submit a reservation request on the website. However, it looks as though this process has changed at the end of this summer and whatsapp is the way to go for reservations. You can find the updated information at Õtaka’s reservation page. There are two sittings (6:30 pm and 9:30 pm, closed on Sunday and Monday) and you can order either à la carte or one of their tasting menus. I personally really enjoyed the classic tasting menu and found the price very reasonable for the quality. In particular, I really enjoyed trying the stingray which was featured on the classic tasting menu but was not available à la carte.
